WITTENSTEIN developed the Power Drive Unit for the Cargo Loading System of the Airbus A380. Its role is to provide sufficient traction to allow containers to be moved in and out of the cargo hold quickly and smoothly under all ambient conditions.

Our subsea electric actuation systems for oil and gas exploration at a depth of 3000 meters set standards when it comes to condition monitoring, reliability and durability. And our quiet and efficient motors and controllers facilitate electric rudder steering on a new class of submarine.

Depending on the requirements, they are either designed for a service life of more than 30 years or need no maintenance at all. This makes them very easy to integrate and intuitive to operate. To ensure one hundred percent quality at all times, our quality management system – certified to EN 9100 – keeps a close watch on all aerospace products from development through production to sales. Furthermore, our Aerospace division is approved and certified as a production and maintenance organization in compliance with EASA Part 21G and Part 145.
